When creating your first game, we recommend exploring each button available in your screen. We'll explain the user interface in the tables below, but please keep in mind that this is related to the browser version (you shouldn't face a huge difference when creating on mobile).
Basic creating tools
The Assets is where you can start adding objects to your game. Browse the objects you want, and give them a click (or touch) to add them to your horizontal bar. Now all you have to do is to drag and drop them to your game. |
|
Use Style and Terrain tools in Struckd to build and customize your game's environment. You can also watch this video for more details. |
|
These are the General Game Settings. In this area you can activate the Team Deathmatch game mode, enable save games and team damage (aka friendly fire).
Finally, you can add Loadout to your game. With this option enabled, all characters should only use the weapons added here. Please note that not all characters can carry all weapons. |
Adding flavor to your game (1/2)
Upon selecting your asset you will see a bunch of new options. These will be displayed below your selected asset:
That means your object/asset has been selected, reason why it's marked in green. You can also multi-select many assets at once by dragging your cursor around them.
This button allows you to freely move your asset around.
Use this one to rotate your assets.
Or this one to resize them, thus making them bigger or smaller.
If you like the results, you can duplicate this asset as many times you want. |
Adding flavor to your game (2/2)
These are more advanced, but here's where the fun begins. Upon selecting your characters, these buttons will be displayed on the side:
When turned green, it makes this character playable. NPCs are marked with a white controller.
Upon clicking this flag you can change the colors. Each color represents a different team.
Only applicable for non-playable characters, this is the dialogue option.
Choose their weapons or enable loadouts here.
If applicable, you can change your asset skin here.
Make assets destroyable, add regeneration, lives, health points, explosion effects and more.
On stats you can make them faster, stronger, jump higher, and increase the detection distance. That's not all, you can also make them invisible, remove the hitbox (so they can't be touched), remove physics or even add weight.
You can edit the NPC's behavior here. Choose if you want them to stand, follow, defend, run away, roam or even attack.
With the progression system you can make your character evolve and get stronger every time you collect points in your game.
This will be shown only on playable characters. Here you can choose the camera options: bird's eye (top down view), first person or third person.
Only applicable for NPCs, this loot feature allows you to add items to drop whenever this NPC is defeated.
As for the victory condition, you can add time limits to your game and set conditions to defend in order to win.
Last but not least, the muse behavior is all about magic. You can add specific trigger conditions to make your game very unique. You can find more in this video. |
Other settings
This is the Settings Menu. You can adjust some basic settings here, save your draft or go back to the app's main menu.
If you don't wanna hear anything while creating your draft, just hit this sound button.
This button will undo the last thing you changed in your game. |
Testing and publishing
Click here to play test your game draft.
With this button you can play this draft directly on your mobile device, but it requires a Unity Player Account. Don't worry, you don't need this option for your game to be available on mobile. Once you publish your draft, other users can find your game on both platforms.
When you're done with editing your game, click here and proceed with publishing it. Choose a nice title, description and cover picture. You can optionally make it available to copy (so other users can copy your game as a template). Hit "Publish Game" to let the world know about your amazing creation. |
